U.S.O. - United Service Organizations

Not every state or country has a USO office, but for those that do, it's worth your time to contact them when you're visiting a participating city.

LA has one of the largest USO facilities, located at LAX Airport. It's open and available to military families 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. A list of services available for each location is designated by service icons on their website link. If you have airmen stranded at LAX, they will have a comfortable place to lounge, eat and even shower!

In Boston, we would contact the USO for discount tickets to plays, comedy shows and concerts. In Rome, Italy, we used the USO to schedule transportation to and from the Airport, book our hotel, exchange our currency, and book English-speaking tours.

The best thing to do is to click on this link: http://www.uso.org/whoweare/findyourlocaluso/

and call them to see what is available.
